JavaShogi is written in Java script enable you to enjoy real time Shogi play on this web site. Try to find out your opponent to start playing Internet Shogi with Java-Enabled Browser.

• ADD <How to setup the handicapped Games> on 24th May in the USAGE.
• Sorry, JavaShogi is *not available* for maintenance of the server machine now. As soon as I have finished it, I will inform you on this page.[1998/8/11]
• We prepared HTML documents which load Java Plug-in. We recommends them for IE 4.0x users as JavaShogi has some problem on this browser.
• The new faculty, watching the games of the other users, is added. Also, you can switch whether you open your game to the public or not. To watch a game, click the button [Watch Start]. "*" in the front of the users-list means that the user is opening his/her game to the public. You can watch the game only when both users are opening thier game to the public. The direction of your shogi-board is same as the one of the selected user's. To stop watching a game, click the button [Watch Stop].

To switch whether you open your game to the public or not, select the menu [Options]->[Open Game].

To display the watchers-list to your game, select the menu [Help]->[Watchers List].

Standard Version	Downloads the standard image data and standard audio files.

Yuichi Version	Downloads koma-images using the calligraph written by Mr. Yuichi Sakano (he is a great calligrapher). Its size is very large (244KB), so we recommend this for the people with higher bandwidth.
Plug-in Version
Goto Version (standard)	Downloads the audio files (74KByte) designed byMasataka Goto. We recommend this for the people with higher bandwidth. The standard edition and rock edition downlowad the standard image and the image drawn by Matumoto respectively.
